"Shadowed Night" - October 2021
This project was a process of linocut printmaking of a Great Horned Owl. I truly enjoy the process of linocut carving in regard to the technique of removing areas of a block to reveal the image. Linocut printmaking is a relieving process as it reminds me of removing negative space to produce a beautiful design. By using a U-gauge and V-gauge, I was able to carve the numerous lines and details of the image. I created a total of four additions to the original print to the process of this design.
